Princeton man sentenced to jail
PRINCETON — A Princeton man has been sentenced to two months in the county jail after pleading guilty to the Class 3 felony of unlawful use of a credit card.
Elmer J. Krahn, 51, entered his guilty plea June 25 before Associate Circuit Judge C. J. Hollerich.
Krahn was also placed on two years probation, with the condition he pay $485 in court costs, $522 in restitution and attend counseling. Restitution and court costs were paid from his bond.
In September 2008, a Princeton business reported an unauthorized use of gift cards.
Upon investigation by police, it was determined the gift card was used at a Princeton business, with the store video depicting Krahn.
The Princeton man was arrested Oct. 17, 2008.
Krahn has a previous misdemeanor conviction for theft in 2002.
Krahn was represented in court by Public Defender Michael Henneberry.
Prosecuting the case was State’s Attorney Patrick Herrmann.
