Healthy Kids Camp offered
SPRING VALLEY — St. Margaret’s Health, partnering with Illinois Valley Community College, will hold a free “Healthy Kids Camp” this summer at Kirby Park in Spring Valley.
The camp will help children understand that everything they do to their body has a direct effect on their overall health. Kids from kindergarten through eighth-grade will learn some of the many aspects of healthy living and how even small changes can make a big difference.
The instructors will promote physical activity and stress the importance of daily exercise, and campers will learn about nutrition, what food their bodies need and how to make good dietary decisions.
