AURORA — Kayla Bowen-Dean of DePue recently received the Ivy Leaf Award for high honors at Aurora University in recognition of her excellence in scholarship for the spring semester of 2009.

Bowen-Dean has been accepted into the Aurora University College of Nursing this fall. She is the daughter of Randy and Julie Dean of DePue and the granddaughter of Dennis and Nancy Bowen of Peru, Beverly Dean of DePue and the late John Dean.
