Flags of Foolishness?

Upon opening my BCR Thursday morning, I was immediately struck by the juxtaposition of the two front-page articles and their usage of the word “freedom.” Freedom to do what? Freedom from what? In the case of Freedom House, the answers are easy and obvious. Where the flags are concerned though, I can see nothing more than the freedom to waste taxpayer money. If the city of Princeton has money to spend on honoring the sacrifices of our military veterans, may I suggest they send a contribution to the nearest VA hospital? As for my personal freedoms, I shall exercise my freedom to vote — against any elected city official who spends another nickel on these “Flags of Foolishness.”
