Live from Wrigley

By Kevin Hieronymus - khieronymus@bcrnews.com

CHICAGO - Greetings from Wrigley Field. It's the top of the seventh inning and the Phillies are trying to get former St. Bede Bruin J.A. Happ a lead. There are two on with one out with Ben Francisco at bat.

No luck. Francisco pops up to second and Pedro Feliz grounds out to short.

Now it's the 7th inning stretch, former Cubs favorite Gary Matthews, the Sarge, is leading the Wrigley throng to Harry Caray's  favorite jingle.

Phillies reliever Chan Ho Park, who warmed up in the bottom of the sixth, relieves Happ in the seventh. Happ will get a no decision in his Wrigley Field debut. He scattered seven hits over six innings, striking out three batters with four walks. Both runs are earned.

The rookie lefty had exactly 100 pitches, 61 for strikes. I'll catch up to him after the game down in the visitor's clubhouse.
