PEORIA — “Taking Care of Business: What every business owner should know about business succession” is the title of a complimentary Webinar to be presented by Clifton Gunderson on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23.

This program will provide insight into strategies and information a business owner will need to successfully transition or exit their business.

This complimentary 60-minute Webinar will be presented at 10 a.m. Sept. 22 and at 2 p.m. Sept. 23. Persons may register online at www.cliftoncpa.com/resources/events.

Key points to be presented during this complimentary Webinar include evaluating transition options, preparing yourself and your business for transition, tax implications and strategies for business transitions, assessing the market for your business, and planning ahead for an emergency exit.

Presenters will be Deborah A. Kossow, Brad Mueller and Jeff Braun.

Kossow, CPA, MST, is a partner in the Milwaukee office of Clifton Gunderson. She specializes in performing tax planning, research and compliance for small-to medium-sized, closely held businesses and their owners. She is a member of the AICPA and is the chair of the federal tax committee for the WICPA.

Mueller, CLU, FLMI, is a principal in the Middleton office of Clifton Gunderson Wealth Management. He is responsible for leading Clifton Gunderson Wealth Management’s firmwide insurance and brokerage team. He joined Clifton Gunderson in 2002 and was charged with launching CG Risk Management, the firm’s insurance and executive benefits consulting group. He is a member of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters, Madison Estate Planning Counsel and National Associate of Independent Financial Advisors.

Braun is the owner and president of First National Business Corporation of Wisconsin, a full service success-fee based business brokerage headquartered in Brookfield, Wis. Braun founded FNBC Wisconsin after 12 years of experience with local companies.
