Heather R. Owens of Mason City and Mitchell D. Lovgren of Mason City are announcing their engagement and approaching marriage. She is the daughter of James and Patricia Owens of LaMoille. He is the son of Douglas and Gail Lovgren of LaMoille.

The bride-elect graduated from Princeton High School in 2003. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University in 2007 and is currently enrolled at The Chicago School for Professional Psychology earning a master’s degree in forensic psychology. She is currently a case manager at the Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery at Bro Menn Medical Center in Normal.

Her fiancé graduated from LaMoille High School in 2001. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2005 from Illinois State University and is currently finishing his master’s degree in biology from Illinois State University. He is employed through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources in the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission as a resident biologist.

The couple will be married Nov. 14 in Princeton.
