Jeannette Zurliene of Amboy will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 26 at her home at 217 S. Jefferson Ave., Amboy.

Jeannette was born Sept. 28, 1919, in Sublette. She taught in one-room schools before marrying the late Urban W. Zurliene. They had four children, Cheryl of Addison, Pam of Amboy, Debra of Downers Grove and Barry at home. She also has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
