Created: Monday, September 21, 2009 5:16 p.m. CST Updated: Monday, September 21, 2009 5:17 p.m. CST Ladd Village Board 8-25LADD — The Ladd Village Board conducted the following business at its meeting Aug. 25: • Heard a presentation from IVAC representatives Tara Hoover and Jay Baxter. They distributed materials and updated the board on IVAC projects. • Heard Dan Koehler, T6 representative, address the board on a proposal to lease the water tower to install, maintain and operate radio transmitting and receiving antennas. A decision was tabled until the next meeting. • Reviewed a revised franchise agreement from Comcast representative, Joan Sage. The new agreement contains a 5 percent franchise fee. A decision was tabled until the next meeting. • Reviewed cost estimates and an evaluation map for the water main rehabilitation project. A CDAP construction grant will be pursued for a portion of the project. • Heard the Grasshopper mower will need to be replaced soon. The superintendent was directed to obtain price quotes for a new 25hp mower with a diesel engine. • Heard that due to recent vandalism, graffiti and trash problems, Memorial Park will now be closed at dusk. • Reviewed options for the electric rate financial forecast. A revised rate structure will take effect on May 1, 2010. |
