Created: Wednesday, September 23, 2009 11:27 p.m. CST Updated: Wednesday, September 23, 2009 11:30 p.m. CST Hennepin United Methodist Church’s Harvest Home celebrationHENNEPIN — The 150th anniversary of worship in the historic United Methodist Church at the corner of Court and Fifth streets in Hennepin will be observed at the 97th annual Harvest Home Festival on Saturday. The day’s activities will include a bazaar and candy sale sponsored by the Methodist women, a display of historical memorabilia in the Methodist Meeting House next to the church, a lunch stand operated by Women on a Mission and entertainment by the Templetons from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A traditional chicken dinner with all the trimmings will be served at 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Prices for the 4:30 p.m. “early bird” serving are $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. For the later servings the prices are $9 for adults and $4 for children. Carry-out meals are available at 4 p.m. |
