SEATONVILLE — The Seatonville Village Board conducted the following business at its Sept. 14 meeting:

• Accepted the bid from H & H Builders in the amount of $4,574 for roof work on the storage building.

• Agreed to buy a 2010 Ford F450 from Valley Ford at a cost of $27,316 and to buy the needed additional equipment from Monroe at a cost of $18,500.

• Discussed street repairs, work needed at the playground, and the condition of properties in the community.

• Discussed the speed of traffic in town and approved adding stop signs at the intersection of Safety and Lincoln streets.

• Discussed the maintenance of village hall and heard the air conditioning is now fixed.

• Approved a motion to set the treasurer's salary at $200 per month.

• Heard a request from Michelle Plym of the Women's Auxiliary for the group to use village hall for a Halloween party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 31.

• Approved the treasurer's report as presented:

• Approved payment of bills.

• Received a thank-you from Jeff and Sandy Hoos for repairing the alley.

• Approved a $50 donation to the Hall High School Devilettes, a $50 donation to Freedom House, and a $50 donation to Gateway Services.

• Received correspondence from the insurance company providing coverage to Seat-N-Fille Tap, Inc.

• Set the next regular village board meeting for 7 p.m. Oct. 19.

• Set trick-or-treat hours from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

• Received information regarding NCICG programs to help people looking for work.

• Discussed road work and pier removal on Peru Road.
