Circa ’21 to hold fundraiser for Susan G. Komen For The Cure
ROCK ISLAND — Circa ‘21 Dinner Playhouse in Rock Island has announced a special benefit performance of “Mid-Life the Crisis Musical” on Oct. 23 benefiting the Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
Ten dollars from every adult ticket sold for the Oct. 23 performance will go directly to Susan G. Komen For The Cure.
This is the first time that Circa ’21 has teamed up with Susan G. Komen For The Cure and Circa ’21 producer, Dennis Hitchcock, had this to say about the partnership — “We are thrilled to be a part of this fundraiser for breast cancer research. This organization has done so much to find a cure that’s it’s an honor to work with them on this fundraiser.”
“Mid-Life the Crisis Musical” takes a balanced look at the joys of growing older and strikes a chord with almost everyone, regardless of age. The cleverly crafted songs celebrate forgetfulness, reading glasses, mammograms and menopause, but also touch on the sentimental wisdom that the later years afford us. The hilarious romp brings mid-life to life with all it’s inherent aches and pains. There’s no cure for the condition, but the premise of this show is that it’s easily managed with a healthy dose of therapeutic laughter. Rated PG-40 for adult content, and for those who will enjoy it most.
Good seats are still available for this special performance. Tickets are $44.50 per person, which includes dinner and show. Each survivor attending will be given a special flower. For tickets, call the Circa ’21 ticket office at (309) 786-7733, ext. 2.
