PRINCETON — Connie K. Chastain, 61, of Princeton passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

A memorial service will beat 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church, Princeton, Pastor Norman Femrite officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery in Tiskilwa, privately, and at a later date.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has been accorded.

She was born May 5, 1948 in Princeton to Leslie Harmon and Lauretta (Durham) Harmon. She attended Tiskilwa High School. She worked at Champion in Princeton.

She is survived by her children, Ambi (Keith) Bopes of Princeton, Joseph (Nicole) Leeper of Spring Valley, Tadd (Amy) Petersen of Chillicothe; one stepson, Robert (Tonya) Petersen of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Joshua and Jordan Bopes, Dustin, Kirsten, Jessica, Lynsey and Ashlynn Leeper; three stepgrandchildren, Kyle Peterson, Travis Petersen and Megan Pasdik; and one sister, Jan Hassler of Tiskilwa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.  

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or the donor's choice.

Norberg Memorial Home in  Princeton is handling arrangements.
