PRINCETON — Ron and Jean DiPietro, the new owners of Quizno’s Sub in downtown Princeton, like being back in town.
The DiPietros lived in Princeton for 20 to 25 years, while he was working at Harper-Wyman. After this manufacturing plant closed, the couple moved to Arizona, so Ron could work there in manufacturing.
“All of our family is still here, so that is what brought us back,” he said. “This is a new experience, and we liked this place and wanted to keep the downtown busy. That drew us to this location.”
The DiPietros heard this business was up for sale. After finally deciding to buy the business, they flew back from Arizona and then bought a condo in Princeton.
“We wanted to come back to Princeton and were looking for a business opportunity,” she said. “We wanted downtown to flourish.”
They bought Quizno’s Subs Aug. 10 and have added many items to the menu, including salads and soups.
The store’s hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday; and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The phone number is (815) 872-7849.
As a promotion for the DiPietros becoming new owners of Quizno’s Subs, a special coupon offer is good until the end of October, where customers can get one sub free after buying another sub.
Quizno’s Sub is located at 434 S. Main St. in Princeton.
