PRINCETON — Princeton Christian Academy welcomed two new teachers to its staff this fall.

The new face at the front of the first-grade room is Rachel Beard. She received part of her education at Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo. and is completing her education degree via distance education through Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas.

She plans to pursue a master’s of eEducation degree. Beard is the wife of Pastor Heath Beard of the Bureau County Christian Center and they have three children, all who attend PCA. Prior to teaching at PCA, Beard homeschooled her children.
Patrick Wilson replaces Jim Blucker as PCA instrumental music teacher. He holds a bachelor of art degree in music education from Western Illinois University.

Wilson comes to PCA with eight and a half years of experience, most of that in the LaSalle Elementary School District. He also teaches at Opus Studio in Peru and is a freelance musician playing with Festival 56 and other community groups. Wilson is married and runs an internet business with his wife in Dalzell.
