PRINCETON — Roger C. Shoffner, 91, of Princeton died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

He was born June 3, 1918, in Walnut Grove, Minn., to John and Emeline (Veroven) Shoffner.

Before he worked at LCN he was a bricklayer and truck driver. He retired from LCN Closers and resided in Dover for many years.

Surviving are three daughters, Joan Shoffner of California, Jean Shoffner of South Carolina and Mary Lee Desalvo of Illinois; one stepson, William Irwin of Princeton; and three grandchildren, Corrie Cook of South Carolina, Clint Cook of Michigan and Michael Shoffner of Princeton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lorraine (Ellis) in 1965; his second wife, Cleo (Irwin) in 2008; two sisters, Viva and Geraldine Shoffner; and one brother, Arnold Shoffner.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Jon Olinger officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
