Sheila Mitchell of DePue and Mathew Harmon of DePue were united in marriage July 11 at the United Church of Christ in DePue.
The bride is the daughter of Odie and Margarita Mitchell of DePue. The groom is the son of James R. II and Lisa Harmon of DePue.
Brittney Miller, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tanya Miscevic, Savannah White and Jessica Croissant, all friends of the bride, Ashley Harmon, sister of the groom, and Monique Miranda, cousin of the bride. Lexie Miranda, cousin of the bride, was a junior bridesmaid. Madison Miranda, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.
Steven Perez, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jimmy Harmon, brother of the groom, Dustin Grilc, Jake Grilioni and Chris Miscevic, all friends of the groom, and Adam Miranda, cousin of the bride. Cody Miranda, cousin of the bride, was a junior groomsman. The ushers were Zenon Ruiz, uncle of the groom, Jayse Barnes, cousin of the groom, and Marco Gonzalez and Tristan Mitchell, nephews of the bride. Cole Miranda, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
The couple was honored at a reception at Celebrations in Utica. They are making their home in DePue.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of DePue High School and a 2009 graduate of Illinois State University in Normal. She is a first-grade teacher at DePue Unit School.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of DePue High School. He is employed by Wal-Mart Distribution in Spring Valley.
