MENDOTA — Clara Dissinger, 101, of Mendota, formerly of LaMoille, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mendota.

Born March 25, 1908, in Mendota to Looker and Nettie (Nelson) Carr, she married Thomas Reedy Dissinger June 12, 1927. He died in May 1979.

She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church. She moved from LaMoille to Heritage Manor in 2003.

Surviving are one daughter, Irma Judy of LaMoille; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild; and one daughter-in-law, Doris Dissinger of Granville.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Robert; two brothers and two sisters; and one grandson and one great-grandson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille, with the Rev. Martha Caputo officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.

The Merritt Funeral Home in Mendota is in charge of arrangements.
