VERNON HILLS — The Illinois Art Education Association has named Amber Harper of Leepertown CCSD 175 the 2009 Art Administrator of the Year.

This award recognizes the exemplary contributions, service and achievements of one outstanding IAEA member annually.

The award will be presented at the IAEA conference in Lisle the weekend of Nov. 6.

Harper was selected on the basis of her outstanding commitment to visual art education in her district as well as her wider contributions in the Northern Illinois region.
