WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Helen M. Tinker, 94, of Westminster, Colo., formerly of Roseville, Ill., died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, in Thorton. Colo.

Born June 20, 1915, in Viking, Minn., she married Eugene Tinker. He died in 2000.

She was a teacher in Monmouth and Roseville until she retired at age 72. She was a graduate of Western Illinois University.

Surviving are one daughter, Pat Patnode of Westminster, Colo.; one son, Stan Tinker of Sheffield; and 11 grandchildren, Mark (Patty) Eaton of Brighton, Colo., Gail (Ladd) Trembley of Littleton, Colo., Sue Velasquez of Burbank, Calif., Shawna (Jeff) Olson of Telkeetna, Alaska, Tina Patnode of Aurora, Colo., Duane Patnode, Cherise Patnode and Brian Patnode, all of Westminster, Colo., Doug (Linda) Tinker of Antioch, Tad Tinker of Chicago and Cara (Jamold) Little of Columbia, Mo.; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Roseville United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be directed to the Eugene and Helen Tinker Scholarship Fund, which benefits Monmouth College students; Road Map Ministries in Princeton for construction of Christian Radio Station; or the charity of the donor’s choice. Memorials may be left at the Corman Memorial Home in Roseville or Christ Community Church in Princeton.
