Manhunt in Princeton

PRINCETON — Princeton Police responded to a call of a male subject with a knife at 2 p.m. Thursday.
According to police, officers responded to a call of a male subject with a knife in the vicinity of 418 South Anderson Street. Upon arrival, police were met with a female subject who had been struck in the face by a known assailant.
Police reported the woman told them Jarod E. Williams, 30, of Princeton forced his way into her apartment, beat her, and then fled the scene on foot after stealing an unknown amount of prescription drugs and an unknown amount of cash.
According to the report, Williams did display a knife and threatened to cut the woman if she did not give him the drugs and cash.
Police searched the area and immediate vicinity with the K9 unit, but were unable to locate Williams.
Police said Williams was seen prior to the incident with a female subject in an older white Nissan-type pick-up truck. An Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network message was put out and local and state police agencies were notified and are attempting to locate the subject at this time.
The suspect was last seen wearing a blue New york Yankees ball cap with a gray hoodie and black skater tennis shoes.
