Thomas Ioder
CLERMONT, Fla. — Thomas E. Ioder, 94, of Clermont, Fla., formerly of Princeton, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009.
He was born May 15, 1915, in Princeton to Edwin and Mabel Ioder.
He was a musician, artist, writer and teacher. He spent time in a vaudeville theater in Chicago. After that he moved to Los Angeles and went to art school and worked with Otis College of Art & Design.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; one son, Ralph (Susan) Ioder of Ocoee, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Melaine (Denny) Vogt of Howey in the Hills, Fla.; and two stepsons, Francis G. (Cindy) Buckman of Pilsen, Kan., and Laurence Buckman of Agenda, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Jean, in 1973.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bucker Funeral Home in Clermont, Fla. A memorial serivce will be held in Princeton at a later date. Burial will be in Tiskilwa at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to Cornerstone Hospice or the Arthritis Foundation.
