PRINCETON — Princeton Christian Academy will perform the musical, “The Christmas County Spelling Bee,” by Celeste Clydesdale at 7 p.m. Friday. Kindergarten through fourth grade will make up the chorus, while grades 5-8 will perform the character roles. The premise of the musical is a town spelling bee in which contestants must spell the various names of Jesus. As spellers are eliminated from the bee, they are assigned a part to play in the Christmas pageant. The winners of the contest get to play the parts of Mary and Joseph. The production is directed by Cheryl Bebej and Marty Kiser.

Prior to the musical performance, the PCA band will play under the direction of Patrick Wilson, and the Academy Singers will perform three selections under the direction of Marty Kiser. The evening will close with a fellowship time in the gym with Christmas cookies and punch.

The public is invited to this special evening. There is no charge for admission, but a free will offering will be taken to help defer expenses for the program.  Princeton Christian Academy is located 2 ˝ miles northeast of Princeton on Route 34.
