Elaine Boldrey
PERU — Elaine A. Boldrey, 70, of Peru died at 2:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Manor Court Nursing Center in Peru.
Born June 12, 1939, in Peru to Edward and Hattie (Kinczewski) Sarwinski, she married Mike Boldrey Feb. 11, 1977, in Peoria. He survives.
She worked with her husband in the food service department at Illinois Valley Community College for many years.
She was a member of St. Valentine Church. She participated in the Adoration Chapel at St. Thomas More in Dalzell for eight years and in the Cursillio Program.
Also surviving are three daughters, Diana (Mark) of Kansas City, Kan., Dolores (Doug) of Arizona and Sue (Bruce) of Illinois; two sons, Jim (Jo) of Vacaville, Calif., and Mike (Sharon) of Streamwood; one brother, Ray Sarwinski of La Hoya, Calif.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Valentine Church with Fathers William Gardner and Michael Monclava officiating. Burial will be in St. Valentine Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ptak Funeral Home with a 7:30 p.m. scripture service. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church.
