Domonic Rochetto
SPRING VALLEY — Domonic J. Rochetto, 88, of rural Spring Valley died at 12:58 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.
Born March 23, 1921, in Mark to Romaldo and Lucille (Galetti) Rochetto, he married Anna Marie Taliano Feb. 9, 1946, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Spring Valley.
He owned and operated Happy’s Super Service Garage and Car Wash in Spring Valley for 50 years until retiring in 1989. He was co-owner of Spring Valley Ice Co.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European Theatre with the 101st Airborne. He was a member St. Anthony Catholic Church, Spring Valley American Legion and VFW, Spring Valley John F. Power Knights of Columbus, Spring Valley Business Owners Association and the 101st Army Airborne Association. He was a Hall High School Board member from 1960 to 1969.
Also surviving are one son, James (Tammy) Rochetto of Ladd; two daughters, Mary Lou (Robert) Lukosus of Tempe, Ariz., and Diane (Rick) Donna of Seatonville; one brother, Peter Rochetto of Stayton, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, with the Rev. Robert Spilman officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with an American Legion service at 6 p.m.
