Collecting for earthquake survivors

(BCR photo/Donna Barker)

The Rev. Beth Galbreath of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton goes through the trunk-load of items collected from the community for the survivors of the Jan. 12 earthquake in Haiti. The church will take weekly shipments of collected items to the United Methodist Committee of Relief (UMCOR) warehouse at Chatham for shipment to Haiti. Two UMCOR officials, who were in Haiti at the time of the earthquake, have died from injuries sustained in the earthquake. A third UMCOR official survived, Galbreath said.
