PRINCETON — The Bureau County Clerk’s office is sending out new voter ID cards in the next few days to each registered voter within the county.
Kami Hieronymus, Bureau County clerk, reports that state law requires voter ID cards be sent out every few years to keep voter registration records up to date.
Keep the ID card which is sent to you as proof of your registration in Bureau County.
If a voter’s address is incorrect on the card, contact the county clerk’s office at 815- 875-2014. The registered voter can also mail back the incorrect card with the new address stated on the back of the ID card.
Some of the voting districts are listed on the ID card. All Bureau County voters vote in the 3rd and 13th judicial districts, and in the 16th Congressional district. Therefore, not all of those common districts will be listed on the ID card.
Those who find an error on the card should contact the county clerk’s office at 700 S. Main St., Princeton, IL 61356.
