BOISE, Idaho — Richard G. “Croppie” Krapff, 74, of Boise, Idaho, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019.
He was born Sept. 15, 1944, to Althea and Walter Krapff, and grew up in Ohio, Ill. He married Barb Bunner June 14, 1986. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969. In 1973 he moved to Idaho and then became a full-time Idaho Air National Guard member, serving for 26 years. He served two years in the Air Force Reserves and achieved the career level of chief master sergeant.
Also surviving are a brother, Pete (Sue); a sister, Rita (Bob) Wittmer; a cousin, Helen Sheridan; many nieces and nephews; and Barb’s family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janice Piper.
Military honors will be at 3 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the Idaho State Veteran’s Cemetery, followed by a celebration of his life from 5 to 8 p.m. at the El Korah Shrine Temple, 1118 W. Idaho St., Boise.
