BPART announces new hours
PRINCETON — Bureau Putnam Area Rural Transit (BPART) will have new hours starting July 1. Operating hours will be 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Dispatch hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Fish and chicken fry
MANLIUS — The Manlius Sportsmen’s Club will host a fish and chicken fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 15. The donation is $8. Carryouts will be available.
Cookout Friday in Wyanet
WYANET — Bureau Valley Buddy Bags will host a cookout from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 14, at the Wyanet Locker. They will serve ribeyes, butterfly chops, pork burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips, soda and water.
Covenant Children’s Home reunion
PRINCETON — A reunion, open to anyone who ever lived, worked or volunteered at the Covenant Children’s Home, will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the Nelson Chapel, 502 Elm Place in Princeton. Friends and families are also welcome. The Nelson Chapel is on the property where the children’s home once was. Lions Club garage sales
LAMOILLE — The LaMoille Lions Club’s “More on 34” garage sales will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15, at the Lions building, 308 Howard St. in LaMoille. There will be a lunch stand with breakfast and lunch items, coffee, soda and water. The building is air conditioned, with restrooms. Spaces in the building, 10-by-10-feet, with two 8-feet tables, are $10 and spaces under the shelter, 10-by-10-feet, with one 8-foot table, are $5. For space availability, call 815-488-2098.
Auto show in LaMoille
LAMOILLE — The LaMoille Lions Club will host an auto show on Saturday, June 15, at the Lions Club, 308 Howard St. in LaMoille. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, bicycles, mowers and more will be welcome. Registration will start at 9 a.m., with a $10 entry fee. Food and drinks will be available on site for purchase. Awards will given at 3 p.m., including first, second and third, president’s choice and crowd favorite. The event will also include a swap/sell area (for information call John at 815-228-3230), 50/50, music by Diligent DJ Service and dash plaques will be given to the first 20 entries. All proceeds will go to local charities and scholarships.
Chicken dinner in LaMoille
LAMOILLE — The LaMoille Lions Club will present a chicken family-style dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Lions Club, 308 Howard St. in LaMoille. The dinner will include chicken, fries, pasta, salad, bread and butter, and dessert. Tickets are $9 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 and under.
