CHILLICOTHE — The Illinois Valley Activity Director’s Association met Oct. 21 at Heritage Health in Chillicothe. Hostess Missy Herridge provided salad, pizza and dessert for the group.
President Rhonda Griffin, Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, opened the business meeting while vice president Missy Herridge did roll call. Secretary Chris Biagi-Roscoe, from Heritage Health in Peru, read meeting minutes and Christine Thompson, from Greenfield Retirement Home in Princeton, gave the treasurer’s report. The publicity report was given by Kathy Conner, Heritage Health of Streator.
Thompson told members about the seminars that she attended at the Illinois Activity Professionals Association’s convention in October. She gave out a pumpkin game to utilize at each facility. A committee was formed to nominate a new slate of officers for 2020, which will be announced at the November meeting.
Speaker Janet Sand, long-term consultant, addressed the group on “Care Plans, Care Plans and More Care Plans.”
Members discussed Halloween ideas, community outings and movie time.
New members are welcome to attend the next meeting at noon Monday, Nov. 18, at Liberty Village in Peru. The topic will be “Explore your creative side through food art.”
