The First Class organization at Princeton High School, which is coordinated by Pat Marquis, hosted area veterans at their annual veterans breakfast Monday in the high school cafeteria. The breakfast began at 7 a.m., followed by a program, a flag-raising ceremony and a rifle salute.
Speakers included Sandra Bumbalough and McKayla Bartkiewicz, both seniors, and the Princeton High School Band performed the Star Spangled Banner and a medley of Armed Forces music.
A program featuring student-written essays and poems about veterans was handed out. Student writers were Davina Dabbs, Jaycee Pratt, Cheyanne Wawrzyniak, Bianca Lanham, Terrianne Oestel, Quinten White, Cameron Koetz, Kaewta Usaphrom, Alexandra Michael, Emily Hartman, Sophia Vergamini and Cheryl Dyson.
First Class thanked veterans who attended, and stated in the program: “We honor the huge sacrifice you have made for our country. Your good works have not gone unnoticed.”
