LADD — Marilyn F. Yucus, 87, formerly of Ladd, passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, in St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.
She was born in Walnut to Charles Dyche and Dorothy (Sarver) Royer. She married Paul F. Yucus on Dec. 17, 1966, in St. John’s Church in Walnut.
She was a homemaker.
She was a past member of St. Gertrude’s Church, St. Gertrude’s Altar and Rosary Society, and St. Bede’s Mothers’ Club. She enjoyed doing word finds and playing cards with her family. She was especially fond of spending time with her grandsons and great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her son, John (April) Yucus of Ladd; two grandsons, Stephen (Brooke) Yucus of Newburgh, Ind., and Tony (Emma) Yucus of Pataskala, Ohio; a great-granddaughter, Elliana; two sisters, Joyce Jepson of Durant, Iowa, and Nancy Jane Gribaudo of Fort Bragg, Calif.; a brother, Charles (Nancy) Dyche of Dixon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 18, 2005; a sister, Shirley Thrasher; and a brother, Larry Dyche.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in Nativity of Our Lord in Spring Valley with the Rev. Scott Potthoff officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in the Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd. Additional visitation will be in the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Pallbearers will be Dan and Jim Legner, Brett and Rob Dyche, John Parker, Shawn and Kevin Jepson, and Tom and Keith Yucus.
