DALZELL — Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the Dalzell Fire Protection District, in cooperation with the village of Dalzell, has issued a burning ban for the village of Dalzell and Timber Creek Subdivision.
This ban is effective immediately, there is no open burning allowed, and the ban will be in effect until it is deemed safe. This includes but not limited to burn barrels, burn pits, small fire pits, etc. If a report of any burning is received, the fire will be extinguished by the Dalzell FPD.
If anyone has any questions or concerns, contact Fire Chief Richard L Croissant at 815-980-4674. The burn ban was put in place after state and CDC recommendations due to the COVID-19 and the health issues it causes. “We will monitor the situation as it evolves in our everyday lives,” Croissant said.
