Princeton City Council supports COVID-19 relief funding for five businesses

PRINCETON — Princeton City Council met briefly Friday morning via teleconference to approve resolutions supporting the grant applications for five Main Street businesses.

The businesses — Spoons Restaurant and Bar, Bruce Jewelers, Guys N Gals Salon, Four & Twenty Cafe and Jillians Hair Design — had applied for COVID-19 relief funding from the Small Business Stabilization Program.

The program aims to provide business funding equating to 60 days of verifiable working capital up to a maximum of $25,000. The monies will be funneled through the city to the businesses.

On Monday, the city council held a public hearing to hear any comments from residents who wished to address the council on this matter. No comments were heard during the hearing.
