Bureau County Sheriff's Command Post and Walnut Ambulance are parked at the home of where a three-year-old boy from the suburbs went missing in rural Walnut while visiting family Saturday morning.

A 3-year-old boy who went missing near a home southeast of Walnut Saturday morning was found outside of the property within two hours of authorities being called to the scene.

The boy, Pierce Mojden, is from the suburbs and was visiting family in the area when he walked off from the home with two dogs, a Labrador and a husky.

Authorities from Manlius, Walnut, Yorkville, Bureau County Sheriff's Office were called to 16364 2500 North Avenue in Walnut around 9 a.m. Search and Rescue was on scene, as well as the Bureau County Command Post.

Because the boy was missing with two dogs, police said they could not use their K9 unit to search as it would throw off the scent.

Four drones were used to search nearby cornfields. Helicopters from Advanced Asphalt and Marquis Energy were also used at the scene to search for Mojden.

This story will be updated later with more information.
