Three children under the age of 13 and a male in his 40s, all from Bureau County, have tested positive for COVID-19.
The individuals are recovering in isolation at home at this time. There are now currently three active COVID-19 cases in Marshall County and six active cases in Bureau County.
Public health officials from Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Department were notified of the positive tests, according to state and local public health protocols. They are now in the beginning stages of the investigation and are working to identify individuals who were in contact with the cases. Federal privacy restrictions prohibit the release of any additional information regarding this case. No further information regarding the investigation is available at this time.
There have now been 38 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the counties served by the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Department. Bureau County has had 29 confirmed cases. Marshall County has had eight confirmed cases. Putnam County has had one confirmed case. The first case was reported in Marshall County on March 23.
