COVID update: 12 new Bureau County cases

In the last 24 hours, Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Department has reported 12 new Bureau County cases of COVID.

All individuals are recovering at home. The cases include two teenage males, one male in his 20s, two males in their 30s, one female in her 40s, three males in their 40s and three males in their 50s.

According to the health department, there have now been 154 confirmed cases in the three-county region. Bureau County has had 128 confirmed cases. Putnam County has had eight confirmed cases. Marshall County has had 18 confirmed cases.

There have been two COVID-related deaths reported in Bureau County since the outbreak.

ZIP code areas with six or more cases in Bureau County are: Princeton, 33 confirmed cases out of 1,428 tests; Spring Valley, 42 cases out of 1,024 tests; Buda, six cases out of 77 tests and DePue, 19 cases out of 117 tests.

In Putnam County: Granville, six cases out of 144 tests.

In Marshall County: Henry, six cases out of 332 tests.

In total, 3,960 Bureau County residents; 443 Putnam County residents; and 1,467 Marshall County residents have been tested for COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
