On behalf of the Princeton Veterans Organization, we would like to express our thanks to the Princeton community for your tremendous and unwavering support of your local veterans. Too many times in our hectic life and these very unusual times, it is too easy to neglect expressing thanks for the blessings of our community.
On Friday, Sept. 4, our members, the Auxiliary and volunteers from the Flags of Freedom organization provided the lunch in the park. We were blessed with a beautiful day and the community turnout was simply awesome. A special thanks to those who waited patiently for a few minutes while we prepared additional pork chops. Next time we’ll bring more to start with and are thinking how to better keep up with the demand, all thanks to your support.
The Princeton Veterans Organization, which includes American Legion Post 125, AMVETS Post 180 and VFW Post 4323, provides veterans and community services to Princeton and the surrounding communities. We rely solely on fundraisers like lunch in the park, garage sales and cookouts to support our efforts. Your veterans spent significant time away from family, friends and the community while serving our great nation, so it is gratifying that we are able to continue this theme of service to our local community. We can’t do it without you, so again we say, thank you and hope to see you at our next event.
