Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. & Monuments Offers New Visitation Services

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic that is currently affecting the globe, businesses and individuals have had to adjust the way many things are being done.

This also includes how funeral services and visitations are conducted.

With the stay at home order in effect and social distancing being at the focal point of slowing the spread of the novel virus, gatherings of all sizes have been limited or postponed. Because visitations and funeral services often include large numbers of people, Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. & Monuments is taking measures that allow for alternative ways to attend services for your deceased loved ones.

Live streaming of funeral services

One new virtual feature Norberg Memorial Home provides is the live streaming of funeral services. The entire service streams live in a private Facebook group so that you and your family and friends can view it from your computer or mobile device anywhere you are. In these current uncertain times, many families have utilized this option as a matter of safety and a sign of proper respect.

Drive-through visitations

Another option offered by Norberg’s is a drive-through visitation. With this service, those wishing to pay their respects can drive up to Norberg where cones and directions are provided along with service folders and memorial envelopes. Family members and picture boards are stationed under the carport, giving you the opportunity to offer your condolences to the family and participate in a viewing to pay your last respects.

While these new services stem from the unusual circumstances that we currently face, they are also designed for creative participation and a show of support. “We are trying to achieve a sense of creating happy memories in a sad place,” says Janice Smallwood, along with her husband J.D. who own and operate Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. & Monuments.

For more information on these options, or questions on which type of service may be the best for you and your family, please visit our or call 815-875-2425, we are currently taking appointments for prearrangements via phone, email and fax as well as in person.
